Nu Life hail from Birmingham, UK, and consist of three young females Dionne, Maryanne and Stella. They have toured with and supported the likes of the biggest names in the industry such as Dawkins & Dawkins, Mary Mary, Fred Hammond and Kirk Franklin, Donnie McClurkin, Angie Stone, Lemar and many others. Nu Life have currently released their self titled debut album on 5am Records/Itegrity Gospel. The album is a fresh mix of great songs, bumping beats and thought provoking lyrics.

Since then they’ve combined their passion for performing and entertaining with their vocation to minister about their Christian faith. They do this through their unique brand of gospel music, a soul stirring, foot-tapping, vitalising experience for all who listen to their renditions of smooth R&B ballads and worship songs, up-tempo grooves and heady rock anthems. Nu Life’s ability to diversify their style of music and delivery ensures that lives are touched wherever they perform. Key highlights in the girls career so far include support for US artists such as God Quest, Kirk Franklin, Fred Hammond, Mary Mary, Michelle Williams, Donnie McClurkin, and Dawkins & Dawkins, who they also performed backing vocals for on their European tour.

Nu Life have performed at national conferences and conventions and are seasoned regulars on the gospel circuit, having appeared at several Cross Rhythms festivals. The group have performed at Ronnie Scotts and The Jazz Cafe, they have even done a royal performance for the Queen at Symphony Hall. Mainstream performance includes support for BMG artist Angie Stone and Sony artist Lemar. Nu Life have also performed at the Southport Soul Weekender for the two years running. Nu Life made their TV debut on Channel 5s Sunday morning inspirational show The Alpha Zone in 1999, following up with appearances on Carlton TVs Soul Music and Sky TVs God Channel. The group have continued to appear on TV and have even had their own documentary filmed by the BBC. The Nu Life single Now that I’ve Found You was released in 2000 and achieved a number 17 position in the official Music Week National Urban Chart. The track was listed on mainstream as well as gospel radio.

Birmingham female trio Nu Life bagged the gong for Best Gospel Act at the 2006 MOBO Awards which took place at the Royal Albert Hall on Wed 20 Sept 2006. The group released their self-titled debut on Integrity Europe earlier in the year and beat the likes of acts Kirk Franklin and Mary Mary plus UK counterparts Noel Robinson and Alan Charles to be crowned winners on the night. Maryanne, Estella and Dionne were all present to receive the award along with their team including manager Beresford Dawkins.
